4.2a Learning by example
Case studies open a window into how different vegetation planning, management, sustainable production, revegetation and monitoring techniques are applied in the real world. Such examples, from all over Australia, provide access to landholders’ perspectives and individual experiences with managing native vegetation as part of a farm business. The following sections demonstrate the complex relationships between native vegetation and other natural resource management issues by drawing on the experience of landholders. It starts by introducing a number of case studies to demonstrate the diversity of approaches being taken. Several detailed case studies provide working examples of the integration of native vegetation with other natural resource management issues in a whole property context.
