Précis
This little pocket guide describes and illustrates over 100 plants of the Australian northwest slopes. Descriptions include site preference, distribution, seed collection and propagation tips, and plant uses. The book includes chapters on common vegetation communities of the region, seed collection, propagation and revegetation, and a table of rare plants in the Manilla area. Key to eucalypts, a glossary of terms, and a list of useful resources round out this guide.
Evaluation
There is a lot of information packed into this little book that would indeed fit in your pants pocket. Descriptions are concise and illustrations, although black and white, are useful.
