The Ecology Centre
The Ecology Centre at The University of Queensland, Australia is a multidisciplinary research centre in pure and applied ecology. The centre is a faculty centre, located within the Faculty of Biological and Chemical Sciences, with strong links to the Faculty of Engineering, Physical Sciences and Architecture. Centre for Mined Land Rehabilitation
The Centre for Mined Land Rehabilitation (CMLR) is involved in a broad range of research and training projects with mining companies, industry bodies and government departments from across Australia and the world. The CMLR has a team of professional researchers focussing on the key issues facing modern mining and minerals processing industries.

Consortium for Integrated Resource Management
The Consortium for Integrated Resource Management is a partnership across eight organisations. It operates as a formal linkage mechanism for facilitating the planning and coordination of collaboration of R&D initiatives across the partners. The eight partner organisations are three Queensland Government Departments (Natural Resources and Mines, Primary Industries and Fisheries and the Environmental Protection Agency), three Universities (University of Queensland, Griffith University, James Cook University and Central Queensland University) and CSIRO. THe aim of the Native Vegetation Working Group, which is part of the Consortium, is to provide an overall State-wide collaborative approach for the undertaking of R&D in the vegetation management area.
