Over 500 people from around Australia converged on Albury-Wodonga on the New South Wales and Victorian border in March last year to attend the Veg Futures 06 conference on native vegetation. Convened by Greening Australia and Land & Water Australia, Veg Futures lived up to its billing as a ‘conference in the field’ with its practical workshops and line up of field trips to local case study sites. The conference is now certain to be regarded as one of the most significant think tanks for managers of native vegetation for some years.
